Description

Join us for our 3rd annual social celebration of Wine, Women & Sport - an evening of empowerment & mingling - exploring new opportunities for women in fitness, health & sport. Proceeds benefit Centennial High School Senior Girls Soccer Program (see details below under Organizer Description). Each ticket includes a souvenir wine glass, your first glass of Township 7 wine and tapas prepared by Centennial Secondary Culinary Arts students led by Chef Jonas.

Please purchase your ticket before the event to receive the pre-event discounted price! Tickets at the door are $45.00 each.

The evening features fitness, health and sport table top displays. If your business or organization would like to feature a table top display please call 604-818-7407 or email jenna649@hotmail.com.

New for 2019 is an opportunity to enjoy wine while mingling, visiting exhibit tables and during the panel presentation. The Centaurs Girls Soccer team will do a quick set up change in the foyer to provide seating for all - no moving to the Centennial Theatre! We feel this provides a more casual and intimate venue.

Kelley Law has a prominent place in history amongst Canadian curling fans. Team Law won the 2000 World Curling Championship in Glasgow, Scotland and are 2002 Olympic Bronze Medalists, Salt Lake City Games. Team Law was inducted into the BC Sports Hall of Fame in 2000.

Team Law gained national acclaim in Canada in the sport of curling. With teammates Julie Skinner, Georgina Wheatcroft and Diane Nelson (now Diane Dezura), Team Law won the national women’s curling championship in February, 2000. A few weeks later in April 2000 the team capped off the season by winning the gold medal at the Ford World Women’s Curling Championship in Scotland. The team continued their winning ways in November, 2001 when they won the Canadian Olympic curling Trials and the right to represent Canada at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, Utah. At the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, Team Law finished the round robin portion of the event in 1st place with a record of 8 wins and 1 loss but lost a semi-final game to Great Britain who went on to win the gold medal. Kelley and her teammates showed great character in bouncing back from their semi-final defeat to win the bronze medal game.

Kelley knows all about lifetime achievements therefore her professional success should come as no surprise! Following her curling career, Kelley became a licensed realtor in 2003. Kelley’s ambition, professionalism, and client-first approach have been the keys to many achievements and successes in her Real Estate career. Among other awards, Kelley achieved the prestigious RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement status in 2015. When Kelley is not spending time with family and friends, or is not helping you buy or sell a home, she is happy to recommend delicious recipes and even the wine pairings to go with them!
