An event that has been a long time in the making,
or shall we say… craving.
Have you ever seen a 24-foot long buffet table packed full of high-quality chocolate desserts? Well this is your chance for a choco-experience that you will never forget! We will present for your enjoyment and amazement a wide selection of chocolate dessert specialties prepared and donated by many of the leading pastry chefs and chocolate artists in and around Winnipeg.
Net ticket sale proceeds will benefit the United Way of Winnipeg. We expect this first annual event to sell out well in advance of its April date.
Calling all chocolate lovers in Winnipeg and the surrounding area.
This is an Adults-only event, and only those over 18 years of age will be admitted.
Where Will The Event Be Held?
The buffet will be presented in the beautiful 6,400 square foot, Gates on Roblin Ballroom in Headingley.
This is a comfortable, relaxing, country venue along the Assiniboine River and it will be the
perfect setting for our chocolate celebration.
When Will The Event Occur?
The event will be held on Saturday, April 20th from 6:45pm to 10:00pm. Doors to the Ballroom
will open at 6:45 and the buffet service will begin at 7:00.
Why Are We Doing This?
LunchFor1 Events Inc. is a Manitoba, non-profit corporation dedicated to education about food,
and raising funds for philanthropic purposes through foodie events. Winnipeg’s 1st Annual Chocoholics’ Buffet
is the initiative of Anna Echols, food blogger for LunchFor1.com, and also the founder of the soon to
be launched Winnipeg Foodies group on Facebook. Anna is an experienced marketer, event planner
and public speaker who enjoys giving back to her community.
How Can I Get Involved?
There are many ways for individuals and corporations to become involved, including:
- individual ticket, tables of 8 or 10 are also available
- promotional assistance, especially via shares on social media
- corporate sponsorships & private cash donations are gladly accepted
- food creation by restaurant chefs, pastry chefs, and chocolatiers

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
This is an adults only event. All attendees must be over the age of 18. Showing ID may be required so please ensure that you bring your driver's license or other photo ID to the event.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is no bus service to The Gates, though you can get a taxi from the last stop on Roblin Boulevard. There is tons of free parking on-site, please park in the rear parking lot and enter the Ballroom through the garden area. There will be signs and volunteers to direct you.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Technically yes, but please email us at email@example.com with the change of name.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
It would be appreciated as proof of purchase, but if you forget to print it we can confirm your registration from our list if you can show us a piece of photo ID.
