Winter 2017 Career Prep and Mentorship Event
Sat, 29 April 2017, 12:45 PM – 3:30 PM MDT
Hoping to land that nursing career? The MacEwan University's STTI Chi Nu Chapter and the Males of Edmonton Nursing Society (M.E.N.S.) is proud to present the Winter 2017 Career Preparation and Mentorship Event.
We invite you to join us in this afternoon session consisting of phenomenal guest speakers and a light lunch. Hear what CCU Unit Manager Rich Reichman has to say about what unit managers look for in new hires, how to do well in an interview, and how to improve your resume.
Next, a mentorship panel consisting of current registered nurses who have diverse work experiences will inspire you as they share their nursing journey and talk about how they define mentorship. To name a few, some of the areas of experience include travel nursing, military nursing, labour and delivery, and out-of-scope management.
At the start of the event, a light lunch consisting of three tacos and guacamole and dip will be catered by Filistix's own It Takes Two to Taco.
Tacos includes the following fillings:
- Beef Deshebrada (Braised Beef Brisket in a Chile Colorado marinade)
- Conchinita Pibil (Citrus and Achiote marinated pulled pork)
- Roasted Peppers, Zucchini and Corn in Crema and Queso (Vegetarian)
- Fresh diced onion and cilantro
- pickled onions
- fresh cut limes
- Salsa Roja
