Event description

Description

Jubilate’s Winter Light has become a much-loved annual tradition in the Vancouver choral scene, and this will be our 5th year producing the event. This year’s Winter Light will cover four musical themes: winter’s evening, winter’s morning, favorites from the land of ice and snow, and winter’s best season. This concert will feature several much-loved works by Canadian composers, including Stephen Smith’s evocative arrangement of Land of the Silver Birch; Come Home, an original work by Donna Rhodenizer; and two works by Jubilate past-director Dr. Larry Nickel: an arrangement of Garrett’s I Dreamed of Rain, and Who Knows Where the Seasons Go. We will also feature the works of Jubilate’s in-house composition talent, including tenor Robin Salkeld’s arrangement of Song for a Winter’s Night.
