Winter Solstice: Celebrate The Light & Bright Up The Night
Wed, 21 Dec 2016, 7:00 PM – Thu, 22 Dec 2016, 1:00 AM CST
Presented by Soulstice Sistars
Wear your whites to bright up the night!
Winter solstice marks the shortest day and longest night of the year, when the sun is at its lowest arc in the sky. Symbolically, the solstice is a time of turning inward, into the darkness, into the depths of the unknown. It’s a time of tuning into a deep sense of intuition—trusting your inner voice. In a sense, it is a time of feeling your way in the dark when you cannot see where you are going. Many people like to use the solstice as a time of deep meditation—to reflect on what has been and what will be.
"It's better to light a candle than curse the darkness"
Join us for a night of ceremony, community and celebration.
Prepare to go deep within through ceremony and intention setting, while we invoke the magic that dwells on this sacred night. Wear your winter whites and join us to awaken the light inside you while we celebrate with libations and, of course, an epic dance party to follow.
There will also be a Vendor Village open to attendees.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Manitoba Harvest.
Please bring a non-perishable food item.
This is an intimate event. Tickets are limited!
