Winter Watercolor Texture Painting
Event Information
About this Event
Winter Watercolor Texture Painting | LVL 1: Beginner friendly
Instructor: Jacquelyn Miccolis | Includes: 2 hours of instruction and supplies
During this workshop we will begin by starting with the very basics. Jacquelyn will talk about the materials and how to use them. Then we will explore some of the beginner watercolor painting techniques, that will use to create a wintery landscape/skyline painting. Through guided instruction, participants will learn how to use this versatile medium to create beautiful artwork.
By adding a layer of salt and/or rice, we can create dramatic effects to our watercolor art. By sprinkling it over darker colors it will bring out more contrast. For a more subtle effect, we will experiment with using it on lighter washed out watercolors. Through this unique technique, various marks and opacity of colors will emerge creating a beautiful snow-like texture.
