About this event
Here at the Conservation Services department of the LTVCA we support biodiversity! Do you want to be a part of conservation in action? Partner with the LTVCA in our efforts to support and enhance biodiversity! If you are a landowner or farmer who would like to make a lasting impact within our community for generations to come, this webinar is for you! We will discuss our habitat restoration programs and how we can help you plan, fund and manage one (or more!) of these projects on your property and explain why restoration is important. We will also be highlighting our agricultural programs and our Species at Risk and invasive species programs. Preserving our community's natural heritage would not be possible without you!
Each of these aspects of the department support biodiversity and a healthy watershed. The more diverse our landscape, the more ecosystems are supported, benefiting the earth not just for its own sake but for humans as well, with ecosystem services. Learn what these habitats can do, how agriculture can support them with Best Management Practices and how looking at individual species who are the most threatened can make a difference. Come prepared with questions for a Q&A at the end of the webinar! We will be recording the event and posting it on our YouTube page afterwards. Attendance will be recorded at the live event to go towards the $50 gift card draw.
