WiRE Montreal Chapter - Networking Event - WOMEN ONLY
Thu, 20 April 2017, 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM SST
Join us on Thursday April 20th for the next WiRE Montreal Chapter Networking Meetup! WiRE meet-ups present a welcoming and casual opportunity to meet peers, share ideas and opportunities, and educate colleagues about projects and initiatives of interest to the group. All women working in a field related to renewable energy are invited, as are students and developing professionals who are looking for perspectives on joining the renewable energy sector.
This event will also feature Andrée-Lise Méthot of Cycle Capital Management as guest speaker. Andrée-Lise has more than 20 years of experience in venture capital, management and engineering. She has set up an investment platform specialized in cleantechs totaling more than 230 million dollars and which brings together industrial, institutional and strategic investors. In addition to serving on portfolio companies’ boards of directors, Ms. Méthot is a member of the Board of Directors and of the Investment Committee of Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC). She is the Ecotech Québec’s co-founder and Honorary Chairperson, and sits on the boards of SWITCH, the Alliance for a Green Economy in Québec, the Société québécoise des infrastructures and the Fonds Capital Culture Québec.
She co-chaired a Task Force under the auspices of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC). Prior to founding Cycle Capital Management, Ms. Méthot created two sustainable funds, one providing grants, and the other investing in venture capital that eventually gave birth to Cycle Capital.
We hope to see you there!
