Cecil will be taking a Sunday school lesson from the Unity of my younger days. Jack Peters, our teacher, brought a shopping bag to class. In it were pieces of rope. He asked. "What does Miss Babbitt say to us on Sunday morning?" We answered "I know something good about you. You are God's perfect child." Jack took out a piece of rope for each of us and proceeded to teach us how to tie knots. He shared that the better you tie the knot, the deeper and stronger your understanding is of the world around you.

Using Jack Peters’ knot approach, on Sunday January 31, 2021, we will survey some of the written works of Unity authors.

Bio

Cecil was introduced to Unity teachings in the early 1940’s. The Unity teachings have always been a part of my approach to life. These teachings kept me going as he encountered major life problems. In December 2017, after the death of his wife, he found his way to Unity of Calgary and has read, studied, and attended services since then. Spiritual living is not something that happens in isolation. This experience must be shared, practiced, and lived. In living Unity teaching there is an element of self- discovery and an opportunity to serve. This is a reward beyond all measure.

Cecil is a member of the Board of Directors and brings to the board his vast experience as an educator and accountant as well as his deep love for Unity teachings – always exploring them in greater depth.
