Circle dancing, recycled gift exchange ("mathoms") and cauldron

Please join women friends--new and old. New friends and old come together to celebrate our connections and draw the circle of friendship wider still.
Date: Saturday, January 7, 2016
Location: Unitarian Hall, 949 West 49th Avenue
- a potluck dish to share
- an unwrapped reusable item (scarf, jewelry, soap, handbag, art objects) that you're ready to pass along. You'll be invited to choose a gift.
Items left will be given away to the Unitarian Church refugee committee.
Meditation Room: You'll be invited to select a card to forecast your coming year and make a name tag to facilitate introductions.
Come early around 4 pm if you'd like some quiet time to create a collage - perhaps reflecting on the year past or considering your intention for the coming year.
Materials will remain available throughout the evening. in the Fireside Room - this is a quiet, reflective area, especially during the sacred circle dancing.

- Gift exchange - ("mathoms") bring a recyclable/reusable gift to exchange. Leftovers will be donated to UCV Refugee committee for giving to refugee families or selling by donation with proceeds for support of refugees. (Fireside Room). Leave your gifts (unwrapped) any time. 8:30 you'll choose as many gifts as you brought. (some people bring none; some many!) Put on the shelves in Hall Alcove.

- A ritual burning of the old year (entirely safe, but fire extinguisher will be near by anyways) - Fireside Room. Facilitator: Mary
