Women in AI (WAI) is a community-driven non profit do-tank working towards gender-inclusive AI that benefits global society. Our mission is to increase female representation and participation in AI.
Women in AI Canada is proud to announce its expansion to City of Vancouver, British Columbia, led by Prachi Randhawa.
On January 18, 2022 at 2:00 pm PST/ 5:00 pm EST, the Vancouver Chapter will be launched in the presence of our esteemed guests.

Speakers Bio:
Brenda Bailey: Brenda Bailey was elected MLA for Vancouver-False Creek in 2020. She is Parliamentary Secretary for Technology and Innovation and a member of the Treasury Board. Brenda co-founded Canada’s first women-owned and operated video game studio in 2011, in response to the lack of high-quality games being developed for women and girls. She most recently served as the Executive Director of DigiBC, the Interactive and Digital Media Industry Association of British Columbia, where she worked to strengthen the province’s growing creative tech industry and continued her commitment to bringing more diversity and inclusion to the tech sector. Brenda previously served as the Executive Director of Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland, helping young people to realize their full potential through mentorship. She has degrees in Political Science and Social work, with advanced studies in Business and Law.
Dean G. Prelazzi: Dean serves in the role of Vice President, Head of Solution Innovation Consulting and Business Development at Fujitsu's decision science customer innovation center in Vancouver. He is a versatile, entrepreneurial leader with 20 years of international experience in enterprise sales, marketing, product management, and business development with work assignments around the world.Dean loves working with transformative technologies and solutions designed to solve big problems. He loves helping teams define needs and solutions, drive customer adoption, expand into new markets, and disrupt the status quo. He loves evangelizing product value. He loves coaching, facilitating, teaching, and training. Results matter to him as do cultures that hold respect, integrity, humor, ambition, and fun in high regard.
Steve Lowry: Steve is the Founding Executive Director of AInBC and enjoys working with founders and startup teams to bring innovative and ambitious ideas to market. At AInBC I Steve uses his experience as a tech lawyer, banker, two-time startup founder and corporate development practitioner to help startups and enterprises commercialize artificial intelligence technologies that advance society and human health.
Inga Seelemann: A woman leader who has been breaking barriers and driving digital transformation for over 20 yrs, Inga strongly believes understanding the right customer experience can dramatically change the way people and organizations work. Inga seeks to enable people achieve more though innovative solutions, powered by an industry-leading data platform and world-class analytics.
