In honour of International Women's Day (March 8th) Edwards School of Business and Edwards Executive Education is hosting a week of activities to celebrate great women and the positive impact they have had on business, the community, and the world.

Join Noralee Bradley (B.Comm. '89, JD '90) and Joanne Cox(B.Comm. '89, JD '90) discuss their experiences as women in leadership. Noralee Bradley is the Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Nutrien. Joanne Cox is the Executive Vice President & General Counsel at Ovintiv Services Inc.

About Joanne Cox

Joanne Cox is responsible for the overall legal affairs of Ovintiv and its subsidiaries, and oversees the company’s corporate compliance program. She has more than 25 years of legal and business experience in the oil and gas industry. Cox joined Ovintiv in 2015 as executive vice president and general counsel. Previously, she has held senior legal and business roles with several companies in the oil and gas industry. Cox is active in the legal profession and her community. She has been recognized as Women’s Executive Network’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada and is also a member of the International Women’s Forum. Cox serves as a director of Hull Services, a leader in children’s mental health and on the Strategic Advisory Board of the O'Brien Institute for Public Health at the University of Calgary. Cox graduated with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan with bachelor’s degrees in law and commerce. She is a member of the bar in Alberta and Colorado.

About Noralee Bradley

Noralee Bradley is Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Nutrien serving on the Executive Leadership Team and Diversity and Inclusion Council. She runs a legal and compliance team of over 60 in Canada, US, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Trinidad and Europe.

Noralee has 30 years of corporate law and business experience with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, financings, governance, and cross-border transactions. Before joining Nutrien in March 2020, she was a Partner at several leading Canadian law firms serving several terms on a National Partnership Committee and Compensation Committee. She has also held several leadership roles including Board Chair, Director member or corporate secretary at several TSX-listed companies and community organizations such as the Institute of Corporate Directors, Calgary Petroleum Club and United Way. She currently serves on the STARS Board of Directors. Noralee holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and a Juris Doctor, Law (with Great Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan. She was admitted to the Alberta bar in 1991 and completed the Executive Leadership Program at Western University's Ivey Business School in 2016 and received an Alberta Queen's Counsel Appointment in 2020.
