ALICE ROSE
Alice is a Toronto comic who started her career in the Kitchener-Waterloo comedy scene. A storyteller at heart, Alice combines introspective personal narratives with larger observations to create an intimate comedy experience. Alice is an independent comedian and host, and can be found on stages across Toronto and beyond. She recently competed in Comedian of the North, and produced and hosted a show as part of JFL42. She has also been seen on CTV Your Morning and Netflix's Designated Survivor. You can catch Alice at one of her monthly shows: Comic Sans (Waterloo and Hamilton), Tinder Tales (Hamilton), and Joke Shop (Toronto).
SURER QALY DERIA
Surer is a writer and comic based in Toronto Ontario. Stuck in a time portal where she is assigned as the sole care-taker of a young Barack Obama, she occasionally can be seen at various stand-up haunts, entertaining crowds with her humourous hot takes and her ill timed tarot readings. She wants you to know that raising a baby Barack is stressful but the future is in good hands with her at the care-taking wheel. Surer is a writer, stand-up and performer based in Toronto. She is a member of the sketch collective Fusion, one of the only POC only troupe in the city, and has showcased at various hot-ticket shows in the city such as "Kenny Robinson presents The Nubian Disciples", "Yas Kween" and "Shade". She's also performed at 2018's "Lady-Fest" and "Lady-Fest presents Sketchfest" in Montreal.
KAT FLEAR
Kat Flear is new to the comedy scene and has studied Stand Up at The Second City. Previously a student of creative writing, she fancies herself a storyteller and tries to find the humor in her real-life experiences. Not afraid to delve into the embarrassing or controversial, Kat tries to strike a happy medium between the blue and the intellectual sides of comedy. Although she’s not as smart as she thinks she is, she is amusing.
LAURA LEIBOW
Laura has used her acerbic wit and laid back style to become a promising fresh face on the Canadian stand-up comedy scene. She is the editor of the comedy website "UNoriginal", a signed Yuk Yuk’s comedian, and is frequently played on SiriusXM. Laura has performed at JFL42, She Devil Comedy Festival, the Sacramento Comedy festival, and Icebreakers Comedy Festival. Laura has been impressing crowds in clubs and theatres from Toronto to New York since debuting in 2015, and has performed at legendary clubs like the Improv in LA, Broadway Comedy Club in NYC, and Helium in Buffalo.
JENNIFER HSIUNG
Jennifer is a Canadian television presenter and journalist best known for her work at China Central Television's (CCTV) English-language international network, CGTN (China Global Television Network). The Toronto native first relocated to Beijing in 2006, and joined CCTV as a sports anchor. In the summer of 2008, she covered the country's first-ever Olympic Games, and enhanced exposure to the Games by being one of the first few to report from many of the city's newly constructed Olympic venues, such as the iconic Bird's Nest Stadium and The Watercube.
