Branksome Hall presents a public conversation with feminist leader Gloria Steinem, moderated by journalist Amanda Lang. Signature sponsorship for this event is generously provided by Cadillac Fairview.

Gloria Steinem is a writer, lecturer, political activist, and feminist organizer. She travels throughout the United States and other countries as an organizer and lecturer and is a frequent media spokeswoman on issues of equality. She is particularly interested in the shared origins of sex and race caste systems, gender roles and child abuse as roots of violence, non-violent conflict resolution, the cultures of indigenous peoples, and organizing across boundaries for peace and justice. Amanda Lang (moderator) is a business journalist and author. She has also been an anchor for Bloomberg Television Canada, on Bloomberg North with Amanda Lang. Lang was CBC’s senior business correspondent, reporting for its flagship nightly news program, The National, and host of The Exchange with Amanda Lang on CBC News Network. She also hosted The Lang and O’Leary Exchange for five years and cohosted SqueezePlay on BNN for six years. Lang is the best-selling author of The Power of Why (2012) and The Beauty of Discomfort (2017).
