Join us for one of our favourite classes, Women + the Woodshop 101!

About this event

Interested in woodworking? This class aims to provide a safe and inclusive space for women and non-binary students to learn and explore. In this class you will create a project while learning to use the table saw, drill press, mitre saw, band saw, belt sander, and various other small hand tools. You will learn the fundamental skills to use all of the tools in the wood shop safely. In order to use the wood shop, this class is required. \ Please wear close toed shoes and tie up long hair. Ear plugs and safety glasses will be provided.

Once you take a Woodshop 101 class at Makerspace you have the safety training to use our Woodshop anytime as long as you have an active membership! Learn more about memberships here! Still have questions? Give us a call and we'd love to tell you all about Makerspace!
