Event description

Description

Join Libin researchers and clinicians as they discuss topics related to women's cardiovascular health. Joining the panel will be Dr. Satish Raj, a heart doctor, and master's student Kate Bourne, who will discuss POTS, a disabling condition that primarily affects women that makes it difficult to stand up because their heart rate goes too high and they experience severe symptoms including dizziness and nausea.

Dr. Sonia Butalia, a diabetes researcher and clinician; and Dr. Jennifer Thompson, a researcher who is looking at how adverse conditions in the womb impact cardiovacular health of the offspring, will also be presenting.

Dr. Todd Anderson, Libin Institute director, cardiologist and researcher, will moderate the panel discussion.

Come prepared with your questions about cardiovascular health as there will be a question-and-answer period following presentations.
