Women's Entrepreneurship Day - Vancouver
Calling all women entrepreneurs and leaders to join us on November 19th, to celebrate Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WED) in Vancouver. As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, WED Vancouver is a day to celebrate the significant contributions that women make to drive Canada’s economy.
We invite all female leaders to join us for a casual evening of networking, sharing experiences, and making new connections. Your ticket includes appetizers.
WED Vancouver is brought to you by the BC Technology Industry Association (BCTIA), in partnership with ACETECH, Futurpreneur, and Women in Communications & Technology (WCT).
Opening Remarks:
Judy Brooks is Co-Founder of Blo Blow Dry Bar & Serial Female Entrepreneur and Champion with a reputation for getting things done. Judy has built international businesses, fiscally responsible companies, teams, systems, bottom lines and relationships over two decades. This has made her a calculated risk-taker with an ability to drive and inspire individuals from blue collar to C-suite, creating cultures that produce impressive results.
Judy is an expert in brand, business, and culture, and currently serves as a board member for Nurse Next Door, Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, Small Business BC, and other private, small businesses.
Alexandra T. Greenhill is Canadian physician leader who is the co-founder CEO of myBestHelper, the digital platform that helps families access all care options for child and elder care - innovation to make people's lives better. Dr. Greenhill also uses her decades of health and eHealth leadership experience to advise health IT projects and companies, including Medeo.ca and Curatio.
Her work has received many recognitions including the WXN’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada 2005, the Queen Elizabeth II Medal of Service 2012 and BIV Top 40 under 40 2013. She lives in Vancouver with her husband and three children.
Alexandra has been working on a project called 'Women Tech Leaders' and will be unveilling the project at this reception.

What is the cancellation policy?
Tickets are non-refundable. We encourage you to pass your ticket along to someone else if you are unable to attend.
Do I need to print my ticket?
No. We'd prefer you save a tree! instead, display your e-ticket's QR Code on your smartphone for scanning. Tip: The Eventbrite app is available for Android and iOS. Easily manage your registration right on your phone.
Can I make changes to my registration?

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the venue?
No. All guests must be prepared to show ID to bar staff for the purchase of alchoholic beverages.
Is the bar cash-only?
No. The bar accepts credit and debit payment, and there is an ABM located near the entrance to the restaurant.
What are my transport/parking options?
Steamworks is conveniently located near Waterfront Station for access to the skytrain and seabus, as well as major bus routes along W Cordova St. Pay parking is available on the street as well as several nearby parking lots.
