Event description

Description

Today is the first day of fall! There is no better way to celebrate it then to head out to the mountains, breathe in the fresh crisp air and check out the larches! Fall is a great time to hike when the autumn colors of the larch tree display their brilliant yellow needles in the sub-alpine and they only last for a week!

Ptarmigan Cirque trail starts out at the Highwood Pass, the highest paved pass in Canada. This trail starts so high it doesn't take long to reach the alpine as the trail climbs into a high mountain bowl above treeline which gives incredible views of the surrounding mountains, meadows and larches.

The hike itself is well suited to those discovering hiking as it is 5 km with 230 metres of elevation gain. Come and enjoy spectacular views while having a ton of fun with a like-minded group of woman!
