Women's Forum will provide women living with HIV in Toronto with education, and community building opportunities.

About this Event

*Women is an umbrella term, including trans, cis, femme, and two-spirited folks

This forum is organized by POWER (formerly known as Circle of Care). POWER stands for Positive Women’s Empowerment and Resilience, and it is a collaboration of Black CAP, The Teresa Group, PASAN, PWA, and ACT. It is a collaborative approach to providing diverse, innovating, and practical supports and services to women* living with HIV in Toronto.

This forum will provide women living with HIV in Toronto with education, and community building opportunities.

This is a three day event:

DAY 1: Thursday, August 13th, 2020

Time: 2pm to 3pm

Topic: Employment

Speakers: Nicole Malatesta and Jason Smith , Employment Action

DAY 2: Thursday, August 20th, 2020,

Time: 2pm to 3pm

Topic: COVID, HIV and the law: an update on income, housing and more

Speakers: Glenn Betteridge, Staff Lawyer, HIV & AIDS Legal Clinic Ontario (HALCO)

DAY 3: Thursday, August 27th, 2020

Time: 2pm to 3pm

Topic: Self-care for Black women

Speakers: Keosha Love , Artist, Activist and Educator

***THE FIRST 30 people who register and provide their addresses will recieve food support and a small gift as a token of appreciation***

The addresses will only be seen and used by the organizer for mailing of food support and gift. It will not be shared with anyone else.
