Join us for our annual

Women’s Wellness Day 2018

This is a FREE morning of Guided Wellness Workshops

Open to all women in the community

Join us in Celebration of International Women's Day for an inspiring morning of wellness, personal growth, and self-care. Celebrate YOU!

When: Thursday March 8, 2018- 9:00am-12:15pm | Registration opens at 8:45am | Free admission

Where: New Hope Brockville Tabernacle | 2811 2nd Concession Rd Elizabethtown-Kitley, ON K6V

Layout of Event: Each participant will have the opportunity to participate in two 45-minute guided workshops, chosen during registration (Workshop Descriptions below). All participants will then gather for the Keynote Presentation.

Keynote Presentation:
Don’t flip your lid: why we lose our sh*t when we’re under stress and what we can do about it. Learn what’s behind our stress reactions and three practical keys you can use to keep your cool.
Presenter: Shulamit Berlevtov:
Shulamit has over 16 years of experience providing mental health and personal growth services, 1:1 and in groups, as well as multiple certifications and an MA in Counselling and Spirituality. With this background, she has a deep knowledge and understanding of how stress affects the body, mind, and spirit and how to recover from those effects.

Workshop Descriptions:

Therapeutic Yoga Back Care Class:
A wonderful, gentle introduction to yoga. Teaching a constant sequence of breath control, and warming the body followed by traditional asanas. Creating flexibility in the spine, making bones stronger and stimulating the circulatory and immune systems in the body. We teach a traditional, exact and easy-to-learn system that aims at naturally achieving the goal through creating a healthy body and mind. NAMASTE!

Zentangle:
Zentangle® is an easy way of creating beautiful images by drawing structured patterns called tangles. It is a proven method that promotes mindfulness and fosters self-esteem, focus, relaxation, creativity and stress relief. you will learn the fundamental idea and the steps behind the Zentangle® method. You will leave with a basic understanding of how the simple repetitive patterns can create beautiful little pieces of art while helping you calm your mind.

Crystal Bowl Meditation/Reiki Infused Sound Healing:

During the crystal bowl meditation participants will learn simple and effective meditation techniques, enjoy the amazing benefits of silent and guided meditation and experience the healing sounds of Reiki infused crystal & Tibetan singing bowls.

Instructor: Amanda Keeley

African Jembe drumming:
All participants will be provided an African Jembe drum and will be instructed on how to properly secure and play it. Jody will introduce an icebreaker, games, and other drums to help teach basic rhythms, patterns, and an ensemble to promote wellness.
