Explore the plethora of things that you can create in a wood-burning oven, at the historic Montgomery’s Inn. Work with our expert bread baking instructor to learn hands-on about wood-fired baking, exploring the exceptional flavours created in this time-honoured baking method. Participants will bake a full menu including pizza, focaccia, sourdough, and more, using the indoor and outdoor wood-fired ovens.

The inn was built in 1830 and is now a museum that offers visitors a look back in time through the history of Toronto as well as community programming. Students will have an opportunity to tour the inn — restored to reflect life in the 1850s — with a guide. Discover the life of the innkeepers and guests and explore the dining room, kitchen, tavern, and rooms.
