Event description
Learn to turn your own bowl!

About this event

The lathe is a classic wood shop tool, however it takes a little more learning and practice to master. Once you're comfortable on the lathe it can be quite a relaxing tool to use. In this class you will learn how to safely operate the lathe, in turn, helping you create your own small piece. This will teach you the basics of chisel handling and chuck usage.

*We ask that you wear closed toed shoes and long hair must be tied up. Ear plugs and safety glasses will be provided.

Beginning October 1 2021, we will require proof of vaccination or negative Covid test for all workshops. If you feel unwell, or are exhibiting any cold-like symptoms, do not attend. Masks must be worn for our the entirety of our workshops. Masks must be well-fitted (no gaps), of a tightly-woven fabric (loosely-woven “cheesecloth” masks and plastic face shields are not permitted) and worn fully covering both the nose and mouth.

Standard cancellation policies still apply to all participants.
