YOUTH AND ADULT WORKSHOPS AT THE WORKERS ARTS & HERITAGE CENTRE

Our new Saturday programs for youth and adults 12 and up will give visitors an opportunity to have unique, inter-generational learning and art-making experiences that connect with the themes featured in our museum. All programs start with a short guided tour of our main gallery exhibition. These workshops are a great chance for parents and teens to work side-by-side or together on a creative project.

All programs are PWYC! Pre-registration is required via Eventbrite; space in each workshop is limited. All are welcome.

May 12th, 1:30-4 pm Working Family Stories I - Woodcut with Becky Katz

Join local illustrator and printmaker Becky Katz, who will teach visitors how make a one-colour print out of carved wood inspired by the occupations of your family members and the work in the exhibition Daily Bread.

This workshop will be paired with a short tour of Teresa Asencao's exhibition DAILY BREAD and a look at woodcut prints from WAHC's collection.

For more information, contact Tara Bursey, Program Coordinator at tara@wahc-museum.ca or 905-522-3003 ex. 29
