Learn the basics of woodworking and traditional joinery

About this event

Interested in woodworking and joinery? In this class you will create a wooden box using 5 traditional methods of joinery, while learning to use the table saw, mitre saw, planer, jointer, belt sander, and various other small hand tools. You will learn the fundamental skills to use all of the tools in the wood shop safely. In order to use the wood shop, any woodshop 101 class is required. \  Please wear close toed shoes and tie up long hair. Ear plugs and safety glasses will be provided.

Beginning October 1 2021, we will require proof of vaccination or negative Covid test for all workshops. If you feel unwell, or are exhibiting any cold-like symptoms, do not attend. Masks must be worn for our the entirety of our workshops. Masks must be well-fitted (no gaps), of a tightly-woven fabric (loosely-woven “cheesecloth” masks and plastic face shields are not permitted) and worn fully covering both the nose and mouth.
