About this event

International Experience Canada Information Session

Come join one of International Experience Canada’s (IEC) Youth Ambassadors to learn more about this Government of Canada program that allows Canadians aged 18 to 35 to obtain a work permit to work and travel in one of IEC’s over 35 partner countries and territories. As a reciprocal program, foreign youth can do the same in Canada.

Hear from one of IEC’s Youth Ambassador who will share how taking part in IEC allows you to:

• gain valuable international work experience and take your career to the next level

• develop life-long connections and help strengthen Canada’s place in the global work force

• experience the world while you work to discover your strengths and find your inspiration

In general, you need to have a work permit to legally work abroad. To get a work permit to work outside of Canada, you have to apply to that particular country or territory.

Under IEC’s agreements, work permits are generally:

• easier to get

• flexible

• less expensive

• processed more quickly than other types of work permits

Depending on the country or territory, you may be able to work and travel abroad for up to 2 years. The upcoming International Experience Canada Information Session is a great way to learn more about this program.

More information on how to join the event virtually will be sent directly to participants a day prior to the event.
