Event description

Description

The Working for Mental Health Forum is a joint initiative supported by the University of Toronto Faculty of Arts and Science STEP Forward Initiative, and coordinated by New College, the Human Biology department, and the Buddhism, Psychology, and Mental Health department at the University of Toronto. Now in its fourth iteration, this annual event seeks to provide an opportunity for University of Toronto students interested in pursuing careers in mental health-related fields to access the knowledge and networks needed to make informed choices in preparing for their future professions beyond graduation.

To accomplish this, local experts from community, professional, and academic settings related to mental health are sought to share their knowledge and experiences with students and discuss with students what working for mental health entails. Organizations and student groups from the local mental health community are also invited to participate in a networking reception following the event, providing an opportunity for attendees to carry the momentum from discussions at this event forward in taking their next steps in working for mental health.
