Description

Older adults are at high risk of developing mental health problems due to a number of unique challenges that affect their mental health and well-being, such as loss of social status, chronic physical health problems, social isolation, lanuage barriers, loss of independence and elder abuse/neglect. Coupled with factors associated with migration, this can have serious implications for the physical and mental health of older immigrants and refugees. Evidence shows that mental health problems and illnesses can be serious issues for older immigrants within their first few years after arrival. This webinar will outline promising practices for addressing the unique settlement, integration and mental health needs of older immigrants and refugees.

You will also have the opportunity to ask Baldev questions about your work.
