This workshop is a part of Web Unleashed. See website for details.

Details

Vue is “the progressive framework” for building user interfaces. For the last few years, it’s been one of the fastest-growing software projects in the world, thanks to its intuitive API, great docs, and first-class tooling. In this hands-on workshop, the author of Fullstack Vue will share the Vue philosophy, demonstrate how it helps you solve common UI problems, and help you integrate Vue into your existing apps.

Objective

To leave the workshop with a strong understanding of the tools within the Vue ecosystem.

Five Things Audience Members Will Learn

  1. Instantiating a Vue application
  2. Vue Components & Single File Components
  3. State Management and Vuex
  4. Routing and Vue Router
  5. Mixins, Filters, and Unit Testing

To Bring (Required Software Or Hardware Or Supplies)

A working dev laptop.

Your Instructor
Hassan Djirdeh

An engineering graduate from the University of Toronto and a self-taught web developer, Hassan is currently a front-end developer at Shopify. Prior to starting at Shopify, Hassan worked for a consulting firm where he had the opportunity to help a variety of different clients to build and scale their front end applications.

Hassan’s non-work interests range widely and when not in front of a computer screen, you can find Hassan either playing sports, traveling or running through the six (…you know how that should go).
