About this Event

You are invited to join us on March 5th, Thursday from 4 to 6:30, at the James Douglas room.

We will have a short documentary film "WHO AM I?

The activist staring the film is also joining us along with a faculty member and a student with lived experience of refugee and displacement .

Dinner will be provided.

This event intention is to increase the awareness about the Forced migration among youth, the importance of education opportunities, and Student Refugee program (SRP) on campus.

SRP is a unique program that allows displaced youth between the ages of 18 - 25 years who have had their education interrupted by conflict and persecution to pursue post-secondary education and resettle in Canada.

Did you know as a student at SFU you are supporting six refugee students every year to study with you here? You will know more about your contribution and how you could get involved when you come!
