Workshop Series: Learn HTML/CSS/JS
Event Information
About this Event
This session or activity is aimed for children between the ages of 9 and 15.
Participants are introduced to HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) to markup or identify the different pieces of content, such as headings, paragraphs, and lists in their post. Followed by an introduction to CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), which is a stylesheet language with its own syntax rule. CSS allows us to create a set of rules to describe what the content should look like.
This helps the participants develop an understanding of the relationship between HTML markup and CSS declarations, and how to use CSS to change the appearance of basic HTML content. They will get to build their own webpage and design it in the first session.
During the second session, they will learn on how to embed media content (images, audio, video) into their webpage. Understand the working of the internet & how webpages get served online. Introduce them to JavaScript a programming language to add interactivity to the webpage.
The participants goal will be to build a webpage on a wild animal of their choosing, as in the image
