Event description

Description

UTIHP's Global Health Engage will be hosting World AIDS Day at U of T on November 29th from 6-8 PM in Hart House Great Hall. The day presents the opportunity for local and global communities to continue the conversation on persisting issues and accomplished successes of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. On this night, we celebrate and share the efforts and experiences of the many who have dedicated their lives to eradicating HIV/AIDS, which affects 34 million people worldwide.

This year's theme is Repression to Progression. We will be hosting a group of distinguished speakers who will discuss what HIV/AIDS progress means in different communities and contexts.

All UofT students, administration, faculty, and members of the public are invited to attend.

Global Health Engage is eternally grateful for the work of their predecessor for World AIDS Day, Judy Kopelow: Manager, Global Health Programming and Strategic Initiatives, Postgraduate Medical Education, Faculty of Medicine with Elayna Fremes (MPH): Program Coorindator, Global Health Emergency Medicine Program, and the Unviersity Health Network, Toronto.
