About this event

As Richmond Hill United Church reopens the physical space, we have put every possible safety measure in place.

To maintain the health and safety of everyone who comes into either the church or the Village Commons (CD Building), those who have tested positive for COVID-19 (even if asymptomatic), who are showing COVID-19 symptoms, have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days, or has travelled outside of Canada within 14 days, are not allowed to enter either building, even while observing safety protocols.

The following safety rules have been implemented - all persons are expected to adhere to these:

Registration is required for seats each Sunday, with a maximum of 50 persons on the main level and 25 in the balcony.

  1. Do NOT register for in-person Sunday service if you have not registered with the church office proof of your second Covid-19 vaccine. We welcome you to continue to worship via Zoom with our online services if you haven't registered your vaccine certificate.
  2. Registration runs the Monday - Friday before each Sunday service (PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER IN ADVANCE OF THESE 5 DAYS)
  3. Registration ends by noon on the Friday before each Sunday service
  • Families may sit together, but each person must be registered separately
  • Masks are required, except for children under the age of five, individuals who have trouble breathing, hearing impaired, or those requiring assistance to use a mask
  • Enter only through the main Yonge St., doors
  • Walk only in the direction designated by the ushers to reduce moving past each other
  • Maintain physical distancing, stay 2 meters (6 feet) away from other persons
  • Practice hand hygiene and use hand sanitizer
  • Avoid touching all surfaces, doorknobs, handrails, etc., as much as possible

Please remember that there will always be risks of contracting a viral or other infection through large gatherings.
