About this event
Write a letter; Save a life! In honour of International Human Rights Day on December 10, Amnesty International Edmonton is hosting a letter-writing event where you can: learn about protecting and defending human rights, learn about the right to protest, and learn to take action by writing a letter! Speakers, music, and more! Kid-friendly activities will also be available! Join us!
It's our first in-person Writathon since 2019!
Speakers confirmed so far: Blake Desjarlais, the 1st 2-Spirit MP in Canada; Ihsan Momani, former Prisoner of Conscience in Iran, and Alex Marshall, from the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services! All of our speakers will be talking about Protecting the Protest!
Take note! This is a drop-in event! You don't have to stay for the whole 4 hours! ... You might want to though; our speakers are going to be amazing!
