Love to write but not sure how to begin? This creative writing seminar is co-hosted by members of the Writers' Community of York Region.

About this event

Share your work with aspiring authors, poets, playwrights and lyricists during our peer writing workshops.

May 6: Introduction to Creative Writing with Carol Teal

May 20: Peer Writing Workshop

June 3: Scrivner for Beginners with Kim McDougall

June 17: Peer Writing Workshop

*Interested participants are required to register only once for all dates; however, you are welcome to attend as many or few meets as you’d like.

About the WCYR: The Writers’ Community of York Region (WCYR) provides encouragement, inspiration, and celebration in support of writers of all genres, at all stages of development. Their shared love of literature provides a platform for education, inspiration, and opportunity to network, connect, and celebrate. This program will be hosted on Zoom. Priority will be given to confirmed RHPL members.

In order to participate in this program, you'll need to log in to Zoom using a secure link and password. This information will be sent to the email address you've provided. If you have not received an email from the program lead by the day of the program, please contact the Library. Be sure to check your spam folder.

Please note that all participants must register for this program in advance. Do not share the program link or password among friends and family. You can, however, direct them to the registration page.

Using video:
