About this Event

Designed for adult adoptees interested in writing through a personal voice, this writing workshop led by author Jenny Heijun Wills will explore themes of transnational adoption, identity, and the craft of memoir.

Jenny Heijun Wills was born in Korea and adopted as an infant into a white family in small-town Canada. In her late twenties, she reconnected with her first family and returned to Seoul. In her breathtaking new memoir, Older Sister. Not Necessarily Related, Wills traces her heartrending journey of reunion with her Korean mother, father, siblings, and extended family.

FREE (registration required), workshop materials provided. Includes complimentary ticket to Jenny Heijun Wills' book launch on September 17.
