WTWT Holiday Yoga and Breakfast
Event Information
About this Event
The holidays are a busy time of year for many of us. Whether it's wrapping up Q4, balancing holiday socials, or simply managing time with family and friends, it can be extremely stressful. We want to connect with our WTWT community before we head into 2020, and spend some time recharging as a group.
Start your day with us at Volta. Join us for a mindful yoga practice lead by Cléo Burke and Tori Jarvis Grant from On the Mat to unwind from the holiday season and reconnect with the community. Following yoga, there will be a light breakfast and an opportunity to reflect on 2019 and refocus for 2020.
Change rooms are available at Volta in our main lobby space. Please bring your own mat and water bottle.
Thank you to RBC for their continued support of our WTWT Program, we look forward to welcoming you back in 2020.
About Cléo Burke
Cléo found yoga at a time where being with it all was really challenging. Through her practice and through study, she found a new way to relate to herself and to others around her. Cleo’s classes offer a chance to check in and notice, to play with the edges, and to choose and discern how to move freely in the world.
Cléo is a 500 Hour RYT and Counselling Psychotherapist specializing in Yoga Therapy. In her professional counselling practice she uses somatic or body based practices in talk therapy sessions. Her work combines elements of yoga, embodied mindfulness and humanistic psychology.
About Tori Jarvis Grant
Tori is the Creator and Owner of On The Mat Yoga Inc. She loves to move, and brings a unique understanding of anatomy, physical challenge, play and space in to all of her classes. Tori firmly believes that an advanced yoga practice has nothing to do with standing on your hands, and everything to do with breath, awareness, humour and grace. She has studied in workshops and classes abroad, and is currently enrolled in her RYT 500 with Yoga Medicine. Closer to home, Tori works regularly with athletes and teams, and when not teaching or spending time with her young family, Tori likes to do as many classes as she can in Halifax’s incredibly rich yoga community. Tori has advanced training in Pre and Post Natal yoga, Assisting, Myofascial Release, and Yoga for Athletes.
