Qigong is one of the world’s most popular and best-researched methods to improve health and vitality. Regular practice makes the mind tranquil, reduces stress, and deepens your connection with nature.

In this program, learn the secrets of one of the greatest qigong masters in Chinese history: Wang Xiangzhai, equally renowned in healing, athletics, and spiritual wisdom. Wang’s Yi Quan style of qigong consists of healing exercises (quan) and meditations that open the mind (yi) to the energies of the universe.

This comprehensive system teaches you, in exquisite detail, the principles upon which all qigong is based.

 

You will learn:

  • Standing and Walking Meditation: to promote mind/body harmony while improving postural alignment, breathing, relaxation, and balance.
  • Experimenting with Energy: easy to learn movement patterns that improve coordination and energy flow.
  • Peng Jing (Resilient Energy Training): to increase strength and prevent injuries.
  • How to Store and Release Energy: create healthy boundaries to conserve energy and increase your capacity to give to others.
  • Yi Quan training to improve your ability in Basketball, Baseball, Hockey, Swimming, Golf, Tai Chi, Martial Arts, or any sport.
  • Yi Quan Meditation: to develop inner peace, clarity, and concentration 

 

There will be time for discussion of the fascinating philosophy of qigong, including inspiring stories of the old masters. Yi Quan is a highly enjoyable practice that, with patience and dedication, leads to a more fully alive body and mind.

The course is open to all levels, including beginners.

Ken Cohen, M.A. is a renowned qigong grandmaster with 50 years experience. The first person to teach qigong in U.S. medical schools, he is the author of The Way of Qigong: The Art and Science of Chinese Energy Healing and numerous other works in both Chinese and English.
