Young Entrepreneurs Call to Democratize Entrepreneurship
Event Information
About this Event
League of Innovators (LOI) is a Canadian charity focused on democratizing entrepreneurship for youth - to ensure all young people have access to this powerful mindset and the ability to contribute to our economy.
The LOI Alumni Advisory Council was created during the pandemic to support this work and strategize ways to grow a community of young entrepreneurs and meet the evolving needs of young people. As Alumni of the LOI community, we are all actively working on our own businesses and strongly believe that young people should be given the tools, skills and support to contribute meaningfully and create a positive impact throughout society.
As the Alumni Advisory Council, we wrote an open letter to the community to highlight why youth entrepreneurship is important now more than ever and what we can collectively do to support young people. Come hear LOI’s Alumni Advisors and young entrepreneurs as we launch our letter, dive into our recommendations and discuss:
- How the pandemic has impacted Canadian youth and young entrepreneurs
- Why entrepreneurship is a viable career choice and must be prioritized for the future of work
- What it means to democratize entrepreneurship and how we can commit to building diverse and inclusive spaces for youth
- What we can collectively do catalyze youth entrepreneurship
