Event description

Description

Young Indigenous Women's Circle of Leadership is a Cree Immersion program for young Indigenous women, ages 10 -16. This program focuses on providing young women with access to Cree language, traditions, and teachings within a frame that speaks to all four parts of our being - the spiritual, emotional, physical and mental. The programming is holistic. Cree teachers are both language and traditional knowledge holders, who provide the young women with Indigenous knowledge about identity, leadership, and the value of young Indigenous women. This program is fun, loving, caring; really its about feeling good and free to be an Indigenous woman!

This is a Free program, running from:

Monday, July 10th - Friday, July 14th - from 9 am - 4 pm.

Second week is from Monday, July 17th - Wednesday July, 19th from 9 am -4 pm.

lunch is provided.

*Participant must be able to attend the whole duration of the program.

*Participants must be between the ages of 10-16 years old.

*Please note that the availability of the program is very limited. The program is intentional in providing on-going mentorship and therefore selection is based on our ability to provide mentorship to past participants as well as new young women.
