No matter if you have already written or still looking to write, The CAPS Book Event, Your Book; Launch it and Leverage it has something to offer. Join CAPS Manitoba Chapter on October 15th at the Winnipeg Winter Club as we bring together 3 guest experts from Canada and the U.S. who will show us how to build our businesses by becoming published authors.
Jeanne Martinson will lead us through Unleashing your Author Personality. No matter where you are on the road to becoming a successful author, the three tools in this workshop can help you complete your project with minimum frustration, money and time. Learn about your author personality and the four key questions to determine your best path. Understand the Book Project model to take you from idea through production and marketing to repurposing of content. Structure your journey using the Milk Stool model to determine which tasks are best suited to your personality or best suited to be hired out.
Our very own Les Kletke will present Use Your Book to Build Your Speaking Business. Les will reveal three very important times in the speaking cycle when your book will benefit your business and how to leverage it.
And finally, do you want to sell more books? Do you need help planning your book marketing strategy? Do you want to learn how to sell more books online with effective search engine optimization, email marketing, and website marketing? Do you want to know how to make your book a bestseller without breaking the bank? Well John Kremer, The Book Marketing Expert will tell us some of the 1001 Ways to Market your Book.
Throughout the day you will hear Golden Nuggets from authors in our chapter about what worked for them and what didn’t on their road to a successful book.

Jeanne Martinson is a charter member of CAPS and is the founding President of the Saskatchewan Chapter. Jeanne has been a successful keynote speaker and workshop facilitator for more than 20 years.
During this time, she has also released six non-fiction books, one fiction book Jeanne is a best-selling Canadian author and co-founder of the award winning publishing company WoodDragon Books. Jeanne is a frequent presenter at CAPS and NSA and is excited to share with other members of her profession these hard earned tools that save time, money and effort.
Kletke is a book coach, freelance writer and speaker with an exceptional résumé. Les has coached people across the globe through the process of writing, and publishing their books. For past 10 years Les has also worked as a freelance writer, and has had work published in numerous newspapers, and magazines, while authoring six of his own books.
He has studied as a Nuffield Scholar in England and has a degree in Economics and a diploma in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba. He worked as an agronomist in Russia and studied in Canada, the U.S., Korea, Brazil, New Zealand, and most recently Mongolia and China. He is also a graduate of the Continental School of Auctioneering. Having worked and travelled around the globe, Les brings experience to his work like no other.
John Kremer is an acknowledged expert on book publishing and marketing. Besides being the owner of a publishing company (Open Horizons in Taos, New Mexico), he is the editor of the Book Marketing Tip of the Week newsletter.
John is the author of a number of books on publishing and marketing, including 1001 Ways to Market Your Books: For Authors and Publishers (6th Edition),The Complete Direct Marketing Sourcebook, High Impact Marketing on a Low Impact Budget, and Celebrate Today. He has also designed the Do-It-Yourself Book Publicity Kit.
