Event Information
About this Event
O-YA is SO excited to make this announcement (drumroll please!)
The Nepean, Rideau, Osgoode Community Resource Centre (NROCRC) received funding from United Way East Ontario to hire a youth mental health counsellor at O-YA!!
The new youth mental health counsellor's name is Tara Taylor, and she is a fantastic fit for this position. Work is currently underway to transform O-YA's Boardroom into comfortable and welcoming counselling office where Tara will take appointments with youth ages 12 - 17. While COVID-19 restrictions prevent Tara from seeing clients in person, counselling appointments will be virtual.
As Tara will be the FIRST youth mental health counsellor EVER located in Osgoode Ward, we're sure you have lots of questions! O-YA is hosting a Youth Counselling 101 session for parents to answer them all.
