About Event

With cybersecurity and online privacy becoming a pressing issue, youth are often the most affected by the growing influence of technology and social media. On Oct. 5th, 2019 join 100 other students in a hands-on case-competition to combat cyberbullying for $1000 cash prize and awards. Our keynote, the Honourable Harjit Sajjan will share his work on the development of cybersecurity as Canada’s Minister of National Defence, and our professional panel will also share their experience in preventing youth bullying, and building future leaders of society.

  • 9:00am to 9:30am - Registration
  • 9:30am to 10:00am - Opening Remarks
  • 10:00am to 10:30pm - Keynote Presentation Honourable Harjit Sajjan, MP Vancouver South, National Defense Minister
  • 10:30pm to 11:15pm - Event Panel
  • 11:15pm to 11:30pm - Set-Up Break
  • 11:30pm to 12:15pm - Work Session
  • 12:15pm to 1:15pm - Working Lunch
  • 1:15pm to 2:30pm - Work Session
  • 2:30pm to 3:00pm - Judges Deliberation (First Round)
  • 3:00pm to 3:15pm - Set-Up Break
  • 3:15pm to 4:00pm - Final Presentations
  • 4:00pm to 4:30pm - Deliberations and Awards

How to Join

  • Register a school team of 5
  • Majority of team members must be between the ages of Gr.10-12
