Best practice professional development training for youth program staff:
Young people can thrive when they feel safe and supported to learn and lead. The Active-Participatory Approach provides an overview of the Youth Work Method training series – a powerful set of methods for working with children and youth. The approach is designed to organize youth work strategies into an easy-to-use framework. “Active” refers to engaging the whole person in the learning process and supporting the development of cognitive, emotional, social and physical skills. “Participatory” refers to full involvement in all aspects of youth programming.
