Organizer STA's Indigenous Education Committee

Organizer of Yus᥆lthut, “To Shine a Light On It” Conference

STA's  Indigenous Education Committee

The STA's Indigenous Education Committee is committed to hosting three events each year, beginning with our To Shine A Light On It, our Indigenous pro-d day event in November, followed by our Aboriginal strand of Convention in May, and finally, our National Indigenous Day Celebration, which is held each year a day or so before, or after, June 21st, Canada's actual National Indigenous Day.  Our committee is exceedingly hardworking, often needing to meet more than once a month just to get our planned events organized.

If you're an Indigenous teacher and would like to join our committee, please be sure to attend STA's first meeting of the next school year, when names are put forward for seats on the various STA committees, and if you're a non-Indigenous teacher who "gets" why our committee's main objective is to 'educate our educators', please also consider joining our Aboriginal Education Committee.

We Are All Related.
