Description

Thank you very much for your love and support in making the soon-to-be past year of 2018 an incredible experience, good memories, helping us maintain an average of 103+ members/mo. and proving the haters or naysayers wrong again!

Join us for our “Winter Holiday 2018 Celebration” which will be epic, highly interactive and productive business networking event in a relaxed, non-pressure environment overlooking the beautiful Robson & Bute area. We had 133 people attended in Sept, 124 people attended in August, 118 people attended physically in July and 105 people attended in June, which was cross promoted by 5+ other awesome JV groups. If you want some amazing great value, then check out this explosive event, look at the past pictures and/or ask the past attendees about it. Thus imagine 100-130+ business and tech prospects for you to meet! Where and when else can you do this?

We are determined to make this better than the 'typical networking over beers' event and want everyone to be one step closer to their goals even if you are introverted and are not comfortable in large crowd settings (That's why we have a unique crowdsourcing solutions activity later on in the evening).

The evening will be full of amazing entrepreneurs, traditional business people, and smart tech folks mingling with icebreakers’ activities. There will be an awesome mix of people from all over the lower mainland. The past events were so popular, the room was overfilled and some of our members had went out to the beautiful patio or to the other side of the restaurant for private talks. Everyone we asked for feedback from had informed us that they acquired some good quality contacts to follow up with. Come alone or bring a friend to meet some new smart friendly people, who are of like minded and passionate about taking action to acquire the desired results. Make some new connections and increase your circle of influence.

What to Expect:

  • Network with 100+ entrepreneurs, professionals, tech fanatics and investors.

  • Present your business needs or problems, then prepare to receive ideas, comments, solutions, options, leads, prospects and more contacts from our CROWDSOURCING activities to solve your dilemmas.

  • Participate 100% fully, so NOT half ass in our facilitated networking session to receive the full benefits.

  • Learn & be inspired by others sharing their breakthrough moments in startups, businesses, and careers.

  • Enter our door prize draw, which will be conducted at the end of the event.

You’re welcome to join us earlier from 5 pm for their Happy Hours' Specials before the actual event starts later. How to find us? We will be at the private room with a beautiful view of Robson St. and/or ask the staff for Nathan at the front desk. Everyone is welcome!

CROWD SOURCING ACTIVITY:

Everyone has a need or an itch that they can't seem to scratch for their own business, whether it is finding a technical co-founder, recruiting an iOS developer, finding a Sales Manager, or even looking for a tech job. The law of probability states that the answer to your need is somewhere in the room or someone in the room knows someone else who can be a solution/option to it, likewise you may be the solution/option to someone's need.

At YVR Startups, we believe in thinking outside of the box to help everyone get connected with solutions or options and that's why we are proud of the amazing results. We've been to those other Meetups where they would throw you in a room, let you be and only the most extroverted person get results while the rest goes home with negative feelings and little/no results. We want to turn that model upside down with our extraordinary facilitated networking exercises, so everyone can leave with a few good quality contacts to follow up with.
