Join us for an opportunity to light your brain on fire and be part of a province-wide reading movement.

A professional learning opportunity with Adrienne Gear and the Alberta Reads Network.

Learn more about the Alberta Reads Network, be inspired to join the reading revolution and learn why reading matters.

Adrienne Gear will present ideas from her latest book, Powerful Understanding. Help your students explore, question and transform their thinking about themselves and the world around them. Adrienne has been a teacher with the Vancouver School Board for over 25 years. She has worked as a classroom teacher, teacher librarian, and district Literacy Mentor.

Book sales will be available.

4:30-5:00 pm - registration and light supper** (included with your ticket)

5:00-5:45 pm - Why Reading Matters

5:45-7:15 pm - Adrienne Gear

7:15-7:30 pm - questions and door prizes
