Description
Back by popular demand, we are pleased to offer our Design / Make / Play professional development day sessions for educators in the 2019/2020 school year!
This hands-on workshop is held at Zen Maker Lab in North Vancouver, the leading maker lab in the Lower Mainland with a focus on kids and educators.
This is geared towards teachers, librarians and administrators in K-12 although educators from post-secondary or others interested are welcome. No previous maker experience required, just a desire to learn and have fun!
This workshop covers:
Design - 3D design and 3D print an object and get a 3D scan of yourself
Make - Build an electronics gadget (a programmable LED nightlight)
Play - Measure your movement and learn about physical literacy and how it can tie into STEAM curriculum
As part of the day, there will be a presentation and moderated discussion on how to integrate design, make and play into the BC curriculum.
All supplies are included in the workshop price (retail value of approximately $50).
Maximum 10 participants so don't delay in signing up!
