Make some counter-culture the good old fashioned way!

includes zine-making supplies

zine (pronounced 'zeen'): a noncommercial often homemade or online publication usually devoted to specialized and often unconventional subject matter
See examples, learn different ways to fold, bind, and print photocopied zines, and spend an afternoon making a zine of your own.
Zine-making materials and a photocopier will be provided, but feel free to bring along writing, art, or collage material of your own as well!
This workshop will be led by artist and book-maker Sarah Davidson. Sarah helped organize the Vancouver Art/Book Fair in 2014 and 2015, and put together an artist book and a sculpture installation for the fair in 2016. She likes to make zines using drawing and collage. If you ask her nicely she may be willing to show you the radically irreverent music fanzine she put together under a pseudonym in 2006.
