Is the Eventbrite fee refundable?

The Eventbrite fees are nonrefundable, so we won't return them to the ticket buyer when a refund is processed. But there are two exceptions. We will refund the Eventbrite fees to buyers when an event is cancelled or indefinitely postponed, or when the buyer was charged multiple times in error and requests a refund within 7 days of purchase. Please note that the refund policy applicable to the cost of the ticket is set by the event Organizer, not Eventbrite.

Refunded tickets

Refunds will include the ticket price less the Eventbrite fees (which consists of the payment processing fee and the service fee combined).

Cancelled and postponed events

If an event is cancelled or postponed, refunds will be for the entire purchase—that includes the ticket price and the Eventbrite fees.

Duplicate charges

As long as buyers request a refund within seven days of purchase, they'll get a full refund for duplicate charges—that includes the ticket price and the Eventbrite fees.

Passing on or including fees

Event creators can choose to pass on the Eventbrite fee to attendees or include it in the ticket price. In both cases, the Eventbrite fees will be retained when an order is refunded, unless the event is cancelled.
