Alberta Health Services - Advisory Councils

The Advisory Councils’ purpose is to enhance and develop partnerships between the province’s diverse communities and Alberta Health Services.

Public participation is essential to improving the quality and accountability of health services. Continuing to draw on community members for feedback and input will help us meet our mission of providing a patient-focused, quality health system that is accessible and sustainable for all Albertans.

We are here to listen to you. Your thoughts, opinions, questions or concerns, we want to know what you think about the health services in your community.

The geographical areas for each Council were developed based on a number of criteria. Where possible, AHS respected historical travel patterns of Albertans and ensured that more remote areas of the province had a presence on Councils. Once the criteria were considered 12 councils were identified.
